The Smart Worker Tracking module in Green Codes helps safety teams monitor workers’ locations across projects and industrial sites in real time, receive emergency alerts, detect potential fall incidents, and track entry into restricted or high-risk areas.
This module is designed to enhance worker safety and accelerate emergency response by connecting smart GPS watches to the Green Codes platform. It provides real-time visibility of worker movements, device status, alerts, evacuation reports, and integration with incidents, Permit to Work, emergency alerts, and dashboards.
In large projects, construction sites, and industrial facilities, it can be difficult to know the real-time location of every worker, especially during emergencies or when work is being carried out in high-risk areas.
This module helps safety teams answer critical questions such as:
Where are the workers right now?
Who entered a restricted or high-risk area?
Who sent an SOS emergency alert?
Has any worker fallen or stopped moving?
Who reached the muster point during evacuation?
Is any worker still inside the danger zone?
Is the work being performed within the approved Permit to Work area?
The module relies on smart GPS watches that can be linked to workers within the system. Each device is assigned to a specific worker and connected to the relevant project, contractor, and work area.

The module provides additional value when integrated with the Permit to Work module inside Green Codes.
The system can monitor workers linked to a specific permit and verify that:

- Work does not continue after the permit validity has expired
- The actual work location matches the permit location
- The JSA preparation location can be verified
